Hardwicke Reserves 3 - 1 Athletico Severn 11th December 2004
The young Hardwicke side started well and took the tgame to a big and physical
Athletico side. With both sides committed to attack chances were created at both ends. After the hosts had missed 2 good
chances the visitors went 1 - 0 up and should have made it 2 minutes later but their striker missed a simple tap-in.
After 20 minutes of the game Lecci and Peanut took a stranglehold on midfield and it wasn't long before Adam Hacker brought
the scores level. After the break Hardwicke started to dominate with both Rob Folan and Peanut going close.
The latter hitting the bar. Hacker should have added a second before making amends when his cross found Steve Walby who
duly stuck the ball into the back of the net. Hacker completed the scoring right at the death.

Cup in their last outing the team were keen to get back playing football.

fought encounter with the final score 0 - 0. Ellwood

Res 7 - 1 Wotton Rovers Res
Just before the kick-off a heavy rain storm made the pitch slippery and with
a strong wind blowing across the pitch it made both sets of players struggle
to keep their feet. After 10 minutes the young reserves side conceded a penalty
when Michael Tait was harshly penalised. Fortunately for Hardwicke the home
side failed to convert from the spot. For the remainder of the half Hardwicke
took control and should have gone in at the interval 2 goals up after good
chances were not converted.
After the break both sides had chances with the best falling to Sean Adams.
His shot came off the keeper before crashing against the cross bar.
Man of the match Michael Tait.
The Reserves continued their unbeaten start
to the season with a comfortable 7 - 1 win against a very poor Wotton Rovers
Res.
Scott Hayward playing his last game for the club put Hardwicke in front before
sloppy defending allowed Wotton to equalise. Rob Drew restored the hosts advantage
just before the break.
With manager Paul Bayliss' team talk still ringing in their ears Hardwicke
came out for the second half in determined mood. Rob Prince headed in Hardwicke's
3rd before Adam Hacker stole the show with a well taken hat-trick. The scoring
was completed by Dave Loftus, his first goal for the club. An excellent start
by Baylo's team considering 3 of his younger players have now forced their
way into the County Squad showing the current dept of the club is the best
ever.
